Youtube v. Podcasters

I've been considering branching into multimedia. I started by considering youtube as they have a huge install base. I am upset because Youtube raised the entry level for its partner program to a thousand subscriptions.

I've been following youtube since its inception and have noticed that only a tiny fraction of people making locally focused videos get a thousand subscriptions.

I created a video to ask the youtube community if I should create a channel?

I created the audio with Audacity the video with Record My Desktop. The resolution is too low.

As I am upset with Youtube, I decided to create a podbean podcast. This way I can concentrate on the audio. I put up the first two podcast so far.
