The Fresh Loaf
The invention of sliced bread was not quite as beneficial to mankind as clichés lead us to believe.
Sliced bread is a highly processed food stuff with excessively refined wheat. As such, sliced bread does not have the rich nutrients of its darker whole wheat cousins.
Fortunately, people have realized their mistake. The last several decades have seen a trend to the rich and tasty possibilities of wheat and bread.
The Fresh Loaf is a site for lovers of artisan breads. The site includes a large number of recipes, a baker's blog and resources for bread enthusiasts.
I believe that the best path to long term health is to improve the quality of the food while cutting back on portion size. A great way to do this is to recognize cooking as an art form.
The YouTube video below shows a baguette shaping techniques.
