Power of the People

The Power of the Power is a production by Free to Choose Media which argues that the supposed impoverished communities of the world actually contain great wealth. This wealth could be released through proper application of free market principles.

The PBS production explores the work of economist Hernando de Soto who explored the perplexing question of disparities in income around the globe and realized tha the disparities could be explained through the Mystery of Capital. Impoverished peoples generally have a very primative concept of property rights that prevent people from being able to increase the returns on the resources of the community. The result is stagnant communities.

The special is scheduled for airing on October 8, 2009.

The ruling class look at the picture below and see hungry eyes that they are obliged to see. I see little engines of wealth that could bring great riches to the world if the ruling class just stepped out of the way.
