Fast for Haiti
Fast for Haiti is raising funds for disaster relief in the Haitian earthquake. The program asks followers to skip meals then donate the money saved to the relief effort. The combination of a fast, prayer and donation increases the personal involvement in the relief effort. You can follow this effort on Twitter
Since Haiti is about 80% Catholic, I am donating to the Catholic Relief Services reasoning that they have a large number of feet on the ground and the donations will be use effectively.
