Religion plays an important role in both our individual lives and local communities.

The goal of the Community Color project is to list web sites related to organizations in select communities in the Mountain West (Colorado, Utah, Arizona, etc). The list tends to reflect the demographics of the Western US and not the World.

Through the years I've taken great pains to seek out and list web sites for local church groups with limited success.

Most local churches are parts of larger national and international denominations. In this directory, I will list links for sites related to these larger concerns.

Interestingly, different churches have completely different approaches to web design. Some churches have a strong hierarchical structure. The central authority designs the sites for satellite churches. Other churches have loose affiliations. In such cases local sites are designed by church members. Some spiritual groups are led by people with strong personalities and the pastor will have a strong web presences with original materials, podcasts and videos of sermons.
